PeriVXML on the Nortel MPS Platform
This 1 day course is intended for the VoiceXML Application Developer who will be using the Nortel MPS platform to run their applications.
Students will learn about VoiceXML in the MPS environment, including Nortel extensions to VoiceXML, interfacing to PeriProducer 3.x and administering and debugging VoiceXML applications on the MPS.

- Overview of the MPS and OSCAR Speech Servers in the PeriVXML environment.
- PeriVXML Call flow and Nortel software processes
- Overview of Configuration files affecting PeriVXML
- Assigning and Starting VoiceXML and PeriPro applications on the MPS
- PeriVXML extensions: using MMF prompts in PeriVXML
- PeriVXML extensions: Generating Alarms
- PeriVXML extensions: Incrementing Statistical Counters
- Sharing control of the call between VoiceXML and PeriProducer
- PeriVXML Session Variables
- Speech recognition grammars for VoiceXML
- Debugging and logging
- The log element
- Vshell status commands
- PeriVXML non-compliances
- Directory structure and pertinent configuration files on the MPS
Duration: 1 day
Prerequisites: VoiceXML programming experience. This course does not require PeriProducer knowledge.
Note: This course does not teach VoiceXML Programming, but may be combined with the 3 day VoiceXML Programming course.
